Pool decks, patios, porches and walkways, coated with products made to handle sun and water.
Plain epoxy isn't UV stable. Left in direct sun, it can yellow and chalk. Outdoor coatings are usually polyaspartic or polyurea systems, or epoxy with a UV-stable topcoat. Ask each contractor what product they plan to use and how it handles sun in your area.
Pool deck systems are typically textured or broadcast with flakes or fine aggregate so wet feet can grip. Some products are made to stay cooler underfoot than bare concrete. A coating can also cover stains and small surface cracks on an older deck.
Coatings can freshen a stained patio or porch slab. Driveways are tougher because of car weight, freeze-thaw and salt, so expect installers to look closely at the slab before they quote. Badly cracked or heaving concrete may need repair or replacement first.
Angi notes that smaller areas usually cost more per square foot than a full garage because setup and labor don't scale down (source). Get a quote for your specific space.
